With 1037 meters from Vienna seen the next 1000er. At the summit is the wooden Meyringer-Warte with a fantastic panoramic view of the Ararburg on Peilstein and Lindkogel to Schneeberg. A little below is the refuge Hocheck (Mon, Tue, Wed are rest days) with accommodation.
Access to the Hocheck via the paved toll road in Furth starting, or from Thenneberg on forest roads / trails (moderate inclines / drops, but with lots of scree)
