Chekhovskaya Embankment was built in 2010 in Taganrog by the efforts of the Taganrog Metallurgical Plant. It has a length of about 1 kilometer. A wide sidewalk, bounded on both sides by an elegant metal fence, runs exactly along the coast of the Sea of Azov. It is paved with colorful tiles, lit with antique-style lanterns, and equipped with numerous benches. The decoration of the coastal territory is a small arched bridge across the mouth of the Big Turtle River. An equipped beach adjoins the embankment. The bathing area has a rescue tower, changing cabins, toilets, and a water entertainment center. The recreation area borders on the territory of the sanatorium and hotel complex "Priazovye". Within the well-groomed park, whose area reaches 4 hectares, there is a swimming pool and a tennis court - you can use them for an additional fee. There is also an excellent restaurant with a summer terrace near an artificial pond. In 2021, a mini-football field with stands was built on the embankment. There is also a playground with swings, ladders and slides. Near it there is a table for playing ping-pong and a covered veranda for various events. There is a small skate park nearby.
