Lago Cernello is one of 5 lakes in Valgoglio, all of which can be explored in a great round trip during a day hike. At 26,000 square meters, it is one of the smaller lakes. At its foot is the Rifugio Baita Cernello, which is currently closed (June 2021). The other lakes: Lago Nero, Lago d'Aviasco, Lago Sucotto and Lago Campelli.
