The idea
The site of the artwork intermezzo is located in a small birch grove near Bad Belzig. The peculiarity of the birch, white bark with irregular black paint and scars is picked up in a playful variation of the theme black and white.
To this end, rings of varying widths made of black wooden sticks were wire-fastened to the white trunks of about 20 birch trees.
The growth of the trees and thus the expansion of the trunks burst the rings, which then rot on the forest floor.
Slowly, piece by piece, the forest will regain its rhythm. The idea of artistic, artificial rhythm should be a passing one, a small interlude. At the moment only single rings are visible - the intermezzo is coming to an end. In 2014, the artwork will be created again.

Wooden strips, impregnated and painted with waterproof black paint, various sizes, mounted on flower wire.
