Zgorzelec (PL) - districts formerly east of the Neisse, belonging to Görlitz; developed into an independent Polish city after World War II with a new demarcation of borders;

Historically the Görlitzer Ostvorstadt on Rabenberg and Töpferberg, the Neissevorstadt, numerous Wilhelminian style buildings as well as various barracks and military buildings; now characterized by numerous prefabricated buildings and buildings of socialist architecture;

One of the most striking buildings - as soon as you cross the old town bridge - is the Dreiradenmühle on the eastern bank of the Neisse and its grain silo built in 1938; the mill itself was one of the largest grain mills in the town of Görlitz, and was also used by tanners as a fulling mill (the Vierradenmühle is located opposite on the western bank of the Neisse); since 1998 the facade of the silo has been decorated with a mosaic face by artists Vahan Bego and Michał Bulak;
