The Bargheer Museum in Hamburg's Jenischpark is dedicated to the life's work of the Hamburg painter of the same name.
Under the motto "An Artist's Life in the 20th Century," the Bargheer Museum and Event Center focuses on the Hamburg artist Eduard Bargheer, who lived from 1901 to 1979. In addition to exhibitions of Bargheer's own works, the changing program also features art from Bargheer's contemporary environment. Bargheer's art is characterized by abstract forms and a symbolic visual language. His mosaic-like, light watercolors from the 1950s are particularly noteworthy.

This small private museum, with exciting, changing art exhibitions, is located in one of Northern Europe's most beautiful historic landscaped parks, in close proximity to the park's two other museums, the Ernst Barlach House and the Jenisch House. The museum is a place for encounters and experiences. It houses the artistic legacy of Eduard Bargheer (1901–1979), an archive, and a library. Regular events such as lectures and concerts are also held here, and the creative studio offers painting courses and workshops.

Bargheer was a Hamburg artist of classical modernism. His watercolors often show Hamburg motifs and a visit to the museum is definitely worthwhile.
