Galleria Borghese is an art museum in Rome, housed in the former Villa Borghese Pinciana. The museum has an impressive collection of paintings and sculptures by great masters such as Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio, Bernini and Canova. The museum was founded in 1903 by the Italian government, after it acquired the villa from the Borghese family, who had housed their art collection there since the 17th century. The museum is located in the Villa Borghese park, a beautiful green oasis in the heart of Rome. The museum is open every day from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, except Mondays. You must reserve a ticket online in advance, because the museum has limited capacity.
