                The Rammelsberg mine, located south of the city of Goslar, has delivered almost 30 million tons of ore during its existence.
                The wealth of silver in the area was decisive for the founding of a Palatinate by Emperor Heinrich II at the beginning of the 11th century, and the town in the Harz Mountains continued to develop positively in the following centuries.
                Swords made of Harz ores were then delivered as far away as Sweden.
                The prosperity of the Goslar citizenry, which developed as a result of mining, led to lively building activity in the city center, and artistically crafted architectural decorations can still be discovered on numerous properties today.
                A particularly outstanding example is the patrician house in the Schreiberstraße.
