In the 1970s, two ponds were created in the Reinbach valley and their banks were planted with alder trees. This had a very negative impact on the remaining biodiversity of animals and plants.
In 2010, the Goslar nature and environmental aid painstakingly removed all the alder trees and renatured the extensive meadow valley. Countless, rare marsh plants now thrive here and amphibians cavort in the ponds and ponds.

Beautiful biotope with diverse wildlife. Lots of small fish, dragonflies, etc. Very idyllic with a bench to relax. There is also a detailed information board about the biotope created by humans. Great work and as you can see, the animal and plant world was happy to accept this little paradise 🍀👍🏼
