On the market square to the left of the town hall is the very cozy restaurant "Der kleine Heinrich". It takes its name from the ship "Der Kleine Heinrich", which the people of Glückstadt once used to go whaling off the coast of Greenland. The restaurant feels committed to this proud seafaring tradition, seating guests on the intermediate or upper deck and serving local cuisine based on old Holstein recipes in a rustic, maritime atmosphere. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to around 10:30 p.m., Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to around 5 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
