Cesky Krumlov is a gift that has come to us from time immemorial. In the Czech Republic, the size of the Krumlov Castle is surpassed only by the Prague Castle. Since the founding of Krumlov, Germans, Czechs and Italians have lived in the city. Representatives of the Schwarzenberg princely family undertook the reconstruction of the castle, the palace interiors and the castle garden in the 18th century - then the city and the castle were transformed. Representatives of the princely family of Schwarzenberg lost interest in Cesky Krumlov, and the city began to gradually lose its significance. Rich people began to leave it, so that the historical center of the city has not changed since the 19th century. For this reason, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque have survived here - thanks to these monuments, the city is now under the protection of UNESCO.
