"Crossing the Water by Bike" in Bokrijk is a unique cycling experience in which you ride more than 200 meters across a pond. The cycle path opened in April 2016 and since then many cyclists and hikers have felt the magic of this place.

The bike path leads you across a pond, from one bank to the other. In the middle, the water is at eye level. A magnificent and unique view of nature. When you look from afar, it's funny to see all those heads popping above the surface of the water. The bike path is also accessible to walkers and joggers.

Cycling through the Water' in Bokrijk is a unique cycling experience where you cycle more than 200 meters straight through a pond. The cycle path was opened in April 2016 and since then many cyclists and walkers have felt the magic of this place.

The bike path leads you right through a pond, all the way from one bank to the other. In the middle, the water is at eye level on both sides. You feel, see and smell the water. A beautiful and unique view of this piece of nature. When you watch from a distance it is funny to see all those heads passing on the surface of the water. Although it is called 'Cycling through the Water', the path is accessible to walkers and joggers.

In addition to the pond and animals that live on it and the path, the views include some parts of the open-air museum (in the distance) and the nature around Kiewit.

It is not only cycling through the water but also walking through the water. A very nice walk in nature and that at such a short distance from Dutch Limburg.
How much has been mowed in the Netherlands and converted into companies and houses.
