Fratta and Colmaggiore, two ancient villages a stone's throw from Cison di Valmarino, have for some years been real open-air museums, thanks to an artistic project for the creation of murals on the facades of their houses. Starting point of an itinerary that skirts the banks of the Revine Lakes.

The departure of the emigrants, the grocery store where one bought with the credit book, the elves told in the filò. These are just some of the themes represented by the murals that for some years have adorned the facades of the houses in Fratta and Colmaggiore, a stone's throw from the Revine lakes. Villages with an ancient flavor, postcard landscapes that surround the itinerary designed to visit the various works, walking on quiet lanes and beautiful paths astride the nearby Monte Comun.

Having reached the provincial road, we soon find ourselves at the beginning of the Via dei Murales which enters the village of Fratta. Going east along the town street, you will encounter frescoes linked by a single common thread, that of recounting ancient crafts, legends and traditions of this magnificent corner of the Treviso foothills. The journey continues to Colmaggiore and here too the themes of the works are all based on popular culture, such as the chestnut festival.
