In the upper castle garden between Kunstgebäude and Landtag lies the Eckensee with fountain. The former royal private garden is today a public park with lawns and benches. The backdrop of the opera, the Schauspielhaus and the Württemberg Landtag gives it a very special atmosphere. Especially at the Stuttgart Summer Festival the upper castle garden shines! He is always a popular meeting place and place of relaxation.

On April 15, 2020, the federal government announced that major events are prohibited until August 31, 2020 to protect the population and to further contain the corona pandemic. A decision that we, the in.Stuttgart event company, naturally support.

On this basis, the Stuttgart Summer Festival from August 6th to 9th, 2020 on the Schlossplatz and around the Eckensee in the Schlossgarten could not take place.

Unfortunately, given the current situation, we do not see the possibility of postponing the popular summer festival in the heart of the city. The situation we are in is little comparable to that of a few weeks and months ago. We ask for your understanding and look forward to seeing you again in summer 2021!
