Once you reach the valley, you cross the Selbitz River over a remarkable wooden bridge, the so-called Devil's Bridge. This is a fantastic experience, especially in autumn, not least because of the wild and romantic atmosphere. The bridge got its name from a folk legend that supposedly took place here. Allegedly, the devil himself was seen here.

Teufelssteg (new construction after being destroyed by a fallen tree) in Höllental (Höllenthal until 1900) in the Franconian Forest. The Höllental is the section of the Selbitz river valley between Hölle and Blechschmidtenhammer in the Hof district. It is under nature protection.
Noteworthy are an outcrop of fossil pillow lava on one of the steep slopes of the valley and the diabase rock.

Very beautiful, worth seeing wooden bridge over the Selbitz. Next to the Jungfernsteg the second wooden bridge between Hölle and Blechschmidtenhammer. According to a legend, the Beelzebub was seen in person on the Teufelssteg.
