This family amusement park was built on a site where dinosaur footprints were actually found in the sandstone during quarry work. The Münchehagen open-air museum is Germany's largest scientific adventure and theme park. On an approximately 2.5 km long circular path, visitors learn everything about the fascinating development of life in the history of the earth with the help of more than 230 lifelike reconstructions of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals in original size.

In the open-air area, visitors not only encounter all known dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus and of course the Tyrannosaurus rex, but also the most interesting extinct animals in evolutionary history.

The scientific center of the museum is the natural monument "Saurier tracks" with over 300 fossilized dinosaur tracks and the large dinosaur laboratory with a preparation workshop.
