The former royal spa facilities of Bad Rehburg ...
... are unique in Germany building and cultural monument from the time of the Romantic era.
Its origins go back to the year 1690, when the curative effects of the local sources were first mentioned in a document. Especially between 1750 and 1850, the spa town then known as "Madeira of the North" attracted the Hanoverian aristocracy to Bad Rehburg. Even the Hanoverian royal family spent their spa stays here "for the sake of health and pleasure". During this time, the Gesundbrunnen was turned into a magnificent health resort. Bathhouses, spa hotels, a Wandelhalle, the Kurpark, a chapel and in the surrounding area emerged Variety of walking paths along secluded viewing areas. Worth seeing is first built between 1750 and 1850 Park and building ensemble itself: The early neoclassical New Bathhouse (built 1778-1786), the Wandelhalle (1843/44) with partially glazed porch, the Friederikenkapelle (1841/42), the former Brunnenhaus (1753) and parts of the old spa park.In addition to the attractive park and building ensemble, a diverse range of cultural attractions are available for a day trip to Bad Rehburg.

The Rehburg spa facilities are not interesting in terms of architectural history, but are also an eye-catcher. The bathhouse and the foyer in particular impress with their pure classical style. Due to their current use, the buildings can now also be seen from the inside, i.e. the Kurleben Museum in the bathhouse and the concert hall in the foyer.
