For a Bamberg city tour small Venice should not be missed. Once built on wooden planks, the lower floors are solidly masonry today. Since the water level of the Regnitz does not change anymore due to the river division, the inhabitants do not get wet feet any more.

Bamberg is also known as the Franconian Rome with the 7 hills. Of course we also have a little Venice :) Right next to it: the famous sand road. Little Venice is the name of a former fishing village of Bamberg, which consists of a number of old houses from the 17th century.
