The organ building museum has been located in the crypt in Schloss Klosterhäseler and the adjoining rooms since 2005. The crypt is a structural remnant of the Cistercian convent that existed here from 1239/40 to 1540 and dates from the first decade of the 14th century. After the secularization, it was integrated into later superstructures and conversions of the castle.
Until the land reform, the castle was the residential and administrative building of the manor owners.
It then served as a residential building, school, mayor's seat and administrative building for the LPG.
