The view from the tiller, especially in the evenings in the setting sun, is terrific, the atmosphere is like a lunar landscape, the small amphitheater is quite sheltered and cozy, the small plateau with the totems as back support is, if it is not too windy, a good place for a little break.
This is actually mountain bike terrain, but also with a crosser, cross country bike or an adventure racer you come up here. There are about three options with the Renner:
- In the north, a gravel road up the mountain
- In the south of the pretty steep Stations of the Cross with tight bends, also gravel
- In the east the asphalt ramp also called mousetrap, because it is bounded below by the Franz-Haniel which you can not cross, coming from below you can ride the highlight singletrack "way out of the mousetrap" with 28er tires mostly good, only the small piece at the beginning of the Hangman Trail is on a road bike rather only walkable, alternatively, of course, you can also come from above.
