          The "summit" of Staufen is only a few minutes away from the Großer Mannstein viewpoint. With its 451 m the "local mountain" of Kelkheim-Fischbach.

            In order to give a picture to the top of the Staufen, an enclosure has been erected in which small pieces of rock have been piled up. If you are here, you should also build a rock man. Nice place to take a break, here it is not as crowded as on the Großer Mannstein.

                        Not really spectacular - a pile of stones marks the summit of the Staufen, which is otherwise forested and therefore offers no view - but if you have already been to the Großer Mannstein, you can also take a side trip to the summit.
