The dolphin lagoon – the dolphins swim outdoors
With the dolphin lagoon, keeping dolphins and sea lions in Nuremberg gained a new dimension. As the first outdoor enclosure in Germany for dolphins, the lagoon offers the animals the opportunity to experience natural events “live”. A qualitative improvement for the dolphins and sea lions. In terms of quantity, the dolphin lagoon also has more to offer its residents than the previous dolphinarium, with larger and new habitats. This results in further opportunities to meet the behavioral needs of the animals.
