Under the name Busserltunnel a tunnel of the Southern Railway in Lower Austria on the route between Gumpoldskirchen and Pfaffstätten in the municipality of Traiskirchen is known, while it is barely known under the official name Gumpoldskirchen tunnel. It was built in 1841 on the railway Vienna-Gloggnitz and is thus the oldest railway tunnel in Austria. It has a length of 165 m (87 fathoms), a height of 7.6 m (24 feet) and is double-tracked.

Austria's oldest railway tunnel, the "Busserl Tunnel", is located between Gumpoldskirchen and Pfaffstätten. Emperor Ferdinand I, the benevolent, found a tunnel to be part of every beautiful railway line, and so the only 156 m long tunnel was built on the highest order. The tunnel got its nickname because the car lighting was not switched on due to its short length and therefore there was time for a bus in the dark.
