The Matterhörndl is a small but impressive rock in the Vienna Woods that is perfect for a short rest. It is a little hidden away from the main path and easy to miss, but it is worth the visit. With a small opening through and the opportunity to climb around a bit, it is a mystical place for photographers, children and nature lovers.

Approx. 1.0km before the Hussar Temple, coming from the Breiten Föhre, on the right side, approx. 50m in the forest. At the junction there is a small rest area with a table and benches.
The Matterhörndl is a 10m high limestone rock that is said to be similar to the real Matterhorn in miniature.
