The Lower Strohner Mühle is the oldest of the mills and is mentioned as early as 1563 in the fireplace directory. The miller's name was Jakob.
In 1663 the municipality of Strohn was banned from this mill. Converted into a restaurant in the 1930s, the mill was operated during and after World War II. The mill was the longest in operation in the Vulkaneifel district (Daun) and was shut down in 1992 by the last miller, Leonhard Horbert.
Today the mill is used as a residential building.
