The Natura 2000 area Bunderbos and Elslooërbos includes a series of forests on the steep, eastern slope of the Meuse valley between Elsloo and Bunde, namely the Hoge and Lage Bos near Elsloo, the Geulderbos near Geulle and the Armenbos and the Bunderbos near Bunde. The northern forests contain numerous calcareous springs and streams and are considered the most beautiful spring forests in our country. The area is also home to the only example of lime tuff springs in our country.

Parts of the park are close to the public road and are always accessible. The nicer parts with rises, stairs, seating areas and the ponds are only accessible on foot and during the day.
