    The path from the west-east gate to the forest is very steep!
    Some of the holes in the concrete slabs are not filled with earth, so be careful! It's easy to twist your knuckle.

      The Kolonnenweg is part of the inner-German border installations on the part of the former GDR. It's made from unitary, highly weather-resistant perforated panels (concrete pathway panels), most of which have plants growing through them and are pretty much firmly attached to the ground. In the death strip of the Berlin Wall, the patrol road was paved.
