Old slaughterhouse

Following the trend of the times, Oldenburg is also building close to the water. Partial view of an area on the "Stau" street between the main train station and Hunte, which is to mutate into the water town "Alter Stadthafen" as part of further urban development. The projection of the future takes place in this current mixture of port and railway facilities, the rather ailing railway bascule bridge over the Hunte, local institutions from the Bundesbank and the Federal Employment Agency to numerous gastronomic and commercial addresses, including a large cinema and red light scene. The Wagenburg residents who live behind the slaughterhouse and who see themselves as established there want to have a say. After the termination of the lease by the city, a new location is now being wrestled once again.
