It is unclear who had Louzek Castle built between the 13th and 14th centuries. What is certain, however, is that this was once a really impressive building. It consisted of a small core with a square tower and several buildings. In front of it a higher bailey with an access path and on the top of a rock a fortification with some farm buildings. All of this surrounded by a ditch and situated on the edge of a boulder and a steep slope.
