This mighty sculpture by the sculptor Ferdinand Hauk from 1952 represents an allegory of the river Lech. Its attributes mill wheel, fish and water-flowing vessel point to the use of the river for Landsberg.

No, the sculpture does not date from before 1945. It was erected in 1955 on the newly built Lech Bridge. In Roman times the Lech was called liccus - the ending us indicates male gender. a beautiful stone symbolic representation of the river "Der Lech".
