Our eleventh and final stage of the circular tour was, on the one hand, the most beautiful, but also the most strenuous.
After starting in Braemar, we continued along the River Dee – on a paved road. The whole route was very beautiful, but the Linn on Dee – a gorge-like waterfall with an old stone bridge

Our tenth stage ran along the Deeside Way to Ballater, along the River Dee and partly along old railway lines. On our ninth leg, we took a few detours to avoid the A90. In Aberdeen, we followed the coast and admired the "book benches," which are apparently being auctioned off for cancer relief.
