"Cyberneticist by Anatol Herzfeld
The cyberneticians embark on a journey to measure the world. They all carry a stick exactly one meter long in their hand as a reference for their task. They are in the immediate vicinity of the GEOMAR library to demonstrate that they have read the literature that has been available on this question so far and are therefore well prepared. So you are prepared for the things that you will encounter on your journey and have the necessary utensils with you, also expressed in the suitcase you are carrying. Therefore, to a certain extent, they can start "sheltered" (everyone wears a hat!). You look out towards the sea (not quite) to embark on a sea expedition from here. (Freely based on the words of the artist at the inauguration in 1996).
Anatol Herzfeld was born in Insterburg in East Prussia in 1931. 1964 - 1972 he studied with Joseph Beuys at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, then until

He works as a sculptor , painter and graphic artist.
