The site of the former Bodenhausen Castle.
The finds from the castle complex indicate that it was used from the middle of the 12th century. until the 14th/15th century.
This castle probably consisted of an approximately triangular main castle and an approximately quadrangular outer castle, which were separated from each other by a carved ravine.
The northern main castle is naturally secured in the west by a watercourse and artificially secured in the east by a ditch. It is possible that the main castle was surrounded by water.
The path here leads, so to speak, through the middle of the castle grounds.
Ramparts and hills are still clearly visible.
