Market church St. Jacobi
Gothic, first mentioned in 1238, tower around 1500, up to the ball 60 m high, inclination to the west 1.53 m from the Lot. Retaining wall on the west side 1741 with inscription "SOLI DEO GLORIA" (God alone the honor). At the southeastern buttresses opposite the town hall oldest Einbecker stone relief "Adam and Eve". In the church: Late Romanesque baptismal font 12th century, crucifixion altar mid 15th c., Renaissance pulpit 1637, several epitaphs 17th c.

The market church of St. Jacobi, which has been a listed building since 1988, is located on Einbeck's market square. It is known for its 65 m high leaning church tower, which stands 1.5 m from the perpendicular and is called the "leaning tower of Einbeck". As early as 1741, the tower was given a baroque supporting facade due to its lateral inclination.

The Gothic church is the smaller of the two Evangelical Lutheran parish churches in Einbeck. It was first reliably mentioned in a document in 1327.
A reference to a second smaller church next to St. Alexandri can be found as early as 1238.
Based on the construction of the nave, probably around 1270, the church has been steadily expanded over time and regularly renovated.
