Tiedexer Strasse was part of an old long-distance trade route from west to east through the market settlement south of the Krummenwass The ensemble of half-timbered houses on Tiedexer Straße comes from the time after the great city fire of 1540 (the specific construction times of the individual houses can be seen from the carved year numbers above the arches) and has been completely preserved since then. The high arches of different widths with ornamental carvings as well as inscriptions, house brands and guild signs indicate that citizens are entitled to brew - through the gates the brewing pan was brought into the hallway for regular house brewing. 15 of the 16 houses along the north side are listed. The entire street is certainly a highlight of the medieval half-timbered town.
