The main building is surrounded by a moat and is set in a beautiful park.

This is where the Bangsbo Museum is located, with sections on maritime affairs, the occupation period, the carriage collection, and the town's history collection.

The manor house is located 2.5 km south of Frederikshavn.

In addition to the exhibition: "Court life at the time of Johann Knudsen around 1900" in the main building (from 1364), the Bangsbo Museum also includes the exhibition about the Ellingåskibet, a ship from the. 12th century, shipping & the occupation of DK in WW2 by the Germans in the farm buildings from the 17th century.

The Bangsbo Museum is embedded in the 44ha Dyrepark, Bangsbo Botaniske Have, Bangsbo Skovene & Booelsen Steenhave.
