Weltenburg Abbey is a Benedictine abbey (Abbey of St. George) in Weltenburg, a district of Kelheim an der Donau in Lower Bavaria. It lies above the Danube breakthrough in a Danube loop. The monastery belongs to the Bavarian Benedictine Congregation. The main tasks of today's Weltenburg Abbey are the pastoral care (looking after four parishes) and the reception of guests in the "St. Georg meeting place".
