The Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul is centrally located in Potsdam's city center and closes the Brandenburger Straße to the east, at the western end of which stands the Potsdam Brandenburg Gate. The current church was completed in 1870 and served equally the Potsdam parish (which today belongs to the Archbishopric of Berlin) and the Catholic soldiers who were stationed in the city. Since 1992 she has the status of a Propsteikirche.
