      Beautiful circular route from the Black Moor over the Stirnberg and the Eisgraben back to the Black Moor. Not too extreme gradients, and good paths. The path leads over the Huten and through small pieces of forest, good views of the Kuppenrhön and the Grabfeld to the Thuringian Forest. Sturdy shoes are recommended (at least light hiking shoes), sticks are not absolutely necessary.
      The hiking trail has recently been relocated, it no longer leads past the so-called Rhönhof, a farm that was built as a model business during the Nazi era as part of the plan to reclaim the Hochrhön. But it can be run better, especially since the ascent via the asphalt road to Hausen is not necessary. If you want to get to the Black Moor a little faster, choose hiking trail 5 at a fork in the road. Shortly before the Black Moor, both trails meet again.

            Absolute recommendation, whether in summer or in winter ☀️❄. The Eisgraben is the highlight of the round and invites you to linger with seating! Sensational distant views again and again along the way! There are sufficient parking spaces and a place to stop for refreshments at the start and end point of the Black Moor!
