The paths should not be left because nature should be nature here!

In the latter variant, you can reach the car in 20 minutes and then at the "final squat" in Schweinfurter house (Wednesday rest day) the afternoon with a hearty snack end. Sturdy shoes are strongly advised!

The Gangolf Chapel, the Teufelskeller and the prism wall are most beautiful to walk on via nature trails, the nature trail is really fun and isn't too crowded like the normal hiking trail to the sights.

The steep drop of the southeast slope has one of the best preserved basalt prismatic walls in the Rhön; a path leads past there.
The basalt columns have stood here diagonally to horizontally since the second uplift of the Rhön in the late Tertiary.
Even the path reinforcement and steps are made of basalt prisms.
The basalt cave Teufelskeller is located about 250 m south-southwest of the summit.
