The Belvedere Palace, the baroque summer residence of the von Sachsen-Weimar and Eisenach families, is located south of Weimar, on a hill in the middle of a spacious park with an orangery, pleasure garden and maze. Since 1923 it has been a museum for the handicrafts of the 18th century, in which exquisite porcelains from the property of the Weimar ducal house can be seen.

The Belvedere is one of the most beautiful residences in Thuringia. The entire complex, including the park with its many exotic plants, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998 as part of the "Classic Weimar" ensemble (Wikipedia).
