The inner harbor is the anchor point of the industrial culture route: With mills and storage facilities, the center of the German grain trade was established at Duisburg's inner harbor around 1900. After the Second World War, the inner harbor lost its importance, and in the 1970s the old granaries were threatened with demolition. Today, architects, artists and urban planners are transforming it into an attractive urban quarter that combines work, living and leisure. Special attractions are the MKM Museum Küppersmühle for modern art, the attractive restaurant line, the culture and city history museum as well as the tours through the largest inland port in Europe from the Steiger Schwanentor. The "Marina Duisburg" spreads maritime flair with 133 berths, yacht service, sport boat rental and other boat-related services.

Very nice architecture. On the one hand modern buildings and on the other hand the old industrial culture. Very interesting! On both sides, the gastronomy with its terraces tempts you to take a break.
