From the viewing platform on the Friedrich-Ebert Bridge you have a great view of the Ruhr estuary with the sculpture "Rheinorange" and the Mercator Island with the sculpture "Echo Of Poseidon". 🤓

"The former shipping island is located opposite the historic Ruhr town and the shipping exchange at the confluence of the Rhine and Ruhr rivers. Ten years ago, the peninsula was still a transshipment point for coal, iron ore and scrap, and today it is a wasteland that was part of an international competition will be redesigned into a new urban cultural and leisure area.
