St. Bartholomew's Church is the Evangelical Lutheran town church of Marktredwitz. It has existed since at least 1140, with all extensions in its current form since 1922. The current church tower was built in 1825. Its predecessor was destroyed in the town fire of 1822. The tower is built in the classicist style from grey sandstone and houses a two-storey watchman's room at the level of the surrounding gallery, which was continuously inhabited until 1945. The nave was built in 1502 and vaulted in 1522.
