On the edge of the Residenzweg there is what I know is the only lavender field in the Lippe region.
The scent immediately reminds me of the south of France. A place for eyes and nose. A small bench above the field invites you to linger with a view towards Holzhausen. Manufactured products can be purchased at the BIO Hof Meiwes in Heiligenkirchen.

Wonderful to look at and the perfect lavender scent in the air. This ambience offers very nice photo opportunities. It is very busy, so that you are never alone and undisturbed. A security service was also on site.

There are also bio toilets that couldn't be cleaner.
So perfect place for a break on a hike.

Very nice lavender field. I was here in mid-July, the smell of lavender is amazing ☺️. Afterwards you can make a nice round through nature behind the field.

During the heyday of lavender, this place is best visited in the early morning or in the evening, as many people come here during the day. The lavender fields are located on the highly recommended ›Residenzweg‹ (path marking: ®), which surrounds the former Detmold residence over a wide area (almost 60 km).

It is not recommended to park in Fromhausen, but guests are asked to arrive on foot or by public transport. The A3 hiking trail (The Far-Sighted) runs nearby, for example, and the Residenz hiking trail even leads directly past the fields.
