Wikipedia: The Russian colony Alexandrowka is located in the north of the city of Potsdam. King Frederick William III of Prussia had it created in 1826/27 for the last twelve Russian singers of a choir that formerly consisted of 62 soldiers.

Due to the family and friendly relationships between the Houses of Hohenzollern and Romanov, the colony was named as a monument of remembrance after Tsar Alexander I, who died in 1825. As part of Potsdam's cultural landscape, the colony is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Here you can find Russian flair in the middle of Potsdam. On certain days you can also visit the large courtyards that belong to the wooden houses. Here you can take apples and plums with you. The residents then wish to throw a small fee into the cash register provided.
I found the museum a little overpriced, but you get original Russian Moroshenoje (Мороженое - Russian ice cream) for it. Not the imitation ice cream from the German supermarket, but the original.
