The Schlinigpass should be known to many alpine cross-country skiers - it is one of the most famous in the Eastern Alps. This is partly due to the magnificent Uina gorge, on the other hand at the popular Sesvennahütte (sesvenna.it). The cabin is only a few meters from the crossing and invites you to stay in the great scenery. But also day guests like to come here.
The pass itself is relatively unspectacular, but there is a nice trail from the gorge to the hut or vice versa. Depending on the year and time, however, things can get a bit tight here as many hikers and mountain bikers share the path.
If you plan the transition to a day trip, the south-north direction makes more sense by the way.

Depends on. From Switzerland longer sliding passage through Uina gorge, then easy singletrack to the hut. From Vinschgau sliding passage at the last steep ramp. The conditional requirements are mmn higher than the driving technique. For a normal tour biker feasible.

The Schlinigpass is actually only the connection between the Uina Gorge and the Sesvenna Hut. Although this is a beautiful trail with a great panorama, it loses all of its importance after the breathtakingly beautiful and unique Uina Gorge. This also has to do with the fact that the driveway costs a lot of grains from both sides and one often has little sense for this view in anticipation of the food and drinks at the hut.
