Next to the cathedral is the Stone Bridge the most famous landmark of Regensburg. The construction of the bridge was started in 1135 and thus the Stone Bridge is today the oldest completely preserved bridge in Germany. Meanwhile, it is reserved for pedestrians and especially on summer evenings here is a nice atmosphere.

The bridge tower in the old town of Regensburg marks the southern end of the Stone Bridge that crosses the Danube. It was built as one of several gate towers at the end of the 13th and beginning of the 14th century when the medieval city fortifications of Regensburg were built. (Source: Wikipedia)
