The path lies in the middle of the northern Brackvenn and accordingly offers an unobstructed view over the open fen landscape on both sides. When the ground is frozen, the sections that are swampy in places are easily passable. Among other things, there is also a small deciduous forest along the route.

The Hohe Venn is a plateau between Germany and Belgium. It lies at over 600 meters above sea level, is very rainy and the fauna is corresponding.
Here there are raised bogs and the possibility to explore them by dry foot and without destroying nature.

You walk directly on the moorland, which logically (now in May) is mostly very muddy. So definitely wear waterproof and preferably high-heeled shoes. Very scenic and highly recommended. However, today we asked ourselves how nature conservation is doing here. Since there are no longer any footbridges and the ground is really lake-like in places, every hiker tries to find a new, drier path to the right and left of the actual path, which means that the area walked continues to widen...
