    The Steinbach rises southeast of here in the Jessbuer district of the General Venns. After just a short distance it merges into the Eschbach.
    Along with the Vennbächen Eschbach, Hill, Schwalm, Rur, Warche, Soor, Our or Olef, Trôs Marets, Holzwarche, Warche, Gileppe, Getzbach and Weser, it is one of the most famous streams in the High Fens.

      A very beautiful path that leads past the Steinbach in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, the upper section (near the Steinbach Bridge; as of 01/24) is closed by the forestry administration due to a landslide.

                  Beautiful trail to walk along the forests following the stream. Just spend some time in there hearing the sound of stream & birds & sense the stillness of forests. Hike suitable for all!!

                        Also very nice in winter when there is snow, but then pay special attention to the snow-covered roots! Even at -4°C there were muddy soft spots, so I think in spring/autumn it's a muddy tour at times.
